Kate Garraway's husband Derek rushed back to hospital after MBE ceremony
Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway said she was "moved and humbled" by her recent MBE honour.
The TV presenter, 56, was supported by her husband Derek Draper as she was awarded the honour by Prince William for her services to broadcasting, journalism and to charity.
Kate's husband Derek – whose life changed after he contracted Covid-19 at the start of the lockdown – was seen proudly watching the special moment with his carer.
After being awarded the honour, Kate took to Instagram to place the focus on her husband's "determination" to watch her collect the MBE.
Posting on Instagram, Kate said: "Well what a week, that started with Derek in hospital and ended with Derek in hospital, but with this extraordinary day in the middle.

"So many of you have sent so many lovely messages, including the lady who stopped her car a few minutes ago outside our house to say 'I know what you're going through, and I know how much that moment meant and I am a nurse'.
"It was so wonderful to see Derek's determination to be there, so kind of the Prince of Wales, to make it special for him and to recognise the work of Jake our incredible carer, who represents all those who make Derek's daily life possible, and of course my long-suffering, Mum and Dad!"
She continued: "It was also so humbling to meet all the others, much more deserving than myself, who were there to receive their honours. The Prince of Wales managed to make every single one of them feel as special as they are."
Kate explained that Derek is going back to the hospital as life returns to normal following the surreal moment at Windsor Castle.
She is 'treasuring' the fact he was able to join her on the special day.
The GMB host previously revealed Derek burst into tears when she was awarded the MBE.
While talking to Prince William, the two turned around to check in on Derek who was 'very tearful'.
