USA gymnastics superstar Simone Biles, widely regarded as one of the greatest gymnasts of all time, is set to make a highly anticipated return to the competitive stage later this summer.

On Wednesday, officials announced the return of Biles at the U.S. Classic, currently scheduled for August 4-5 in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. After the Games, Biles fearlessly selected to step away from the sport. Recognizing the importance of her mental health, she took the time to focus on herself and ensure her overall well-being, after the unimaginable stress that she endured following her testimony of the sexual abuse she suffered at the hands of USA Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar, who was sentenced to 40 to 175 years for sexual abuse.

During the 2016 Rio Olympics, Biles established herself as a breakout star. She soared to new heights, claiming gold medals in the team all-around, individual all-around, vault, and floor exercise while securing a bronze on the balance beam.
