Activision Blizzard has teamed up with Twitch to offer players a chance to earn in-game cosmetics for all five classes, as well as a Primal Instinct Mount to boot.

The Diablo 4 Twitch Drops campaign started at the game's launch and wraps up this Sunday, July 2 at 11.59 PDT which is Monday, July at 2.59am EDT / 7.59am BST. Every week, players have been able to earn rewards for each of Diablo 4's five classes; so far the Rogue, Necromancer, Sorcerer, and Druid have been showered with freebies and this final week is all about the Barbarian.

This week's Diablo 4 Twitch drops will net you the Azurehand Skull-Crusher and Matriarch’s Mantle Back Trophy, kicking in at the three and six hour-watch mark for eligible streams.

While all class rewards are free (if you don't count the amount of time you need to spend watching eligible streams) the Primal Instinct Mount will actually cost you cash – the price of two Twitch subscriptions to be exact. This particular reward is part of the Support a Streamer portion of the campaign, and the subs can be any tier. If you're only in it for the mount, the base level tier one Twitch subscription will set you back £4.99 / $4.99 / AU$7.99, so the Primal Instinct Mount isn't actually free, coming in at £9.98 / $9.98 / AU$15.98.

First off, as with all Twitch Drops, you don't need to own the game to earn the rewards, so you can claim them in advance of getting the game and they'll be ready to go when you are. The second point to note is the important one: you need to link your Twitch account to your Battle.net account.

Why Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's six week delay is a good thingWhy Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's six week delay is a good thing

Log into your Battle.net account and head to Account Settings. Navigate to Connections, where you can view all of your connected accounts. Scroll down to Twitch and if it's already connected, great! If not, click Connect and follow the on-screen instructions.

Now that you're all linked up, you can watch eligible content for the Diablo 4 Twitch Drops between now and Sunday, July 2 at 11.59 PDT which is Monday, July at 2.59am EDT / 7.59am BST:

  • Azurehand Skull-Crusher – watch at least three hours
  • Matriarch’s Mantle Back Trophy – watch at least six hours
  • Primal Instinct Mount – gift two Twitch subscriptions of any tier to eligible creators

Just a reminder, you can split your watch time however you like among the list of supported creators. You won't find the Diablo 4 Twitch Drops in your game automatically; instead you have to claim them on the channel you're watching on the Drops Inventory menu on Twitch.
