Harrison Ford has revealed what he plans to after the latest Indiana Jones is released - and it doesn't appear as though he'll be relaxing just yet.

The veteran actor, 80, is currently promoting the latest Indy instalment and was questioned on whether the flick would be his last.

But he confessed he has no plans on retiring just yet as he looks for his next move in a hugely successful career.

Harrison first took on the role of Indiana Jones over four decades ago in 1981 and is getting ready for the release of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny next week.

Speaking to Chris Wallace for CNN, he was asked if he had plans to finally stop with the filming.

But he quickly scoffed and replied he doesn't do well if he is out of work. "I love to work… I love to feel useful. It’s my Jones, I want to be helpful," he responded.

When the reporter followed up by asking what it was he liked about his job so much, Harrison revealed: "It is the people that you get to work with. The intensity and the intimacy of collaboration… it’s the combined ambition, somehow forged from words on a page.

"I don’t plan what I want to do in a scene and I don’t feel obliged to do anything but I am naturally affected by the things that I work on."

While his acting days aren't over just yet, his role as Indy is.

"This is the final film in the series, and this is the last time I’ll play the character," he recently told Total Film magazine.

"I anticipate that it will be the last time that he appears in a film."

The production also features Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Boyd Holbrook, Thomas Kretschmann, Toby Jones, Antonio Banderas and John Rhys-Davies.

It sees Harrison's daredevil character face a race against time to retrieve a legendary dial that has the ability to change the entire course of history.

Indy is joined by his goddaughter in the search and soon finds himself squaring off against a former Nazi who works for NASA.
