Amber Heard looked radiant as she attended the premiere for her first film, The Fire, pne year on from the defamation trial involving ex-husband Johnny Depp.

The premiere took place at the Taormina Film Festival in Italy and for the event the mum-of-one wore a stunning ensemble, made up of a satin cream skirt with a cheeky thigh slit and a matching top, which she paired with a black clutch bag and black heels.

Seemingly unnerved by her return to acting, the 37-year-old wore a bright red lipstick and flashed a big smile for the cameras.

Amber's upcoming film is set in Colombia in 1899 and follows a Amber a widowed American psychiatrist, played by Amber, who arrives in a rich farm in Colombia after being called to solve the case of a disturbed child.

The boy's mother is said to be concerned about accusations by a local priest that her child is possessed by the devil.

When the doctor arrives, she discovers that the boy’s mother is dead and that the father himself has begun to believe in the possible possession of the child.

Amber's latest career move comes after she decided to relocate to Spain with her two-year-old daughter Oonagh following her explosive defamation lawsuit against Johnny.

She has been keeping a low profile since the end of the highly-publicised trial, which saw a jury return a verdict heavily in Johnny's favour.

When asked if she would be staying in Spain, Amber replied: "I hope so. I love living here."

Following her relocation, there had been rumours that Amber would be retiring from acting, but she shut down this speculation.

In the video, she said she had some film projects in the works, adding: "Of course. I move on, that's life."

According to reports, Amber is bilingual in Spanish and is happy being able to raise her daughter "away from all of the noise".

Speaking about how she has fitted in with the locals, the town's grocer, Miguel, said: "She's like everyone else."

He told El Mundo: "She buys fruit and vegetables, speaks Spanish with a Mexican accent, and is very polite, she always says good morning to us."

Amber's ex-husband was awarded compensatory damages of $10million (£8 million) and a further $5 million (£4 million) in punitive damages in June 2022 , following a six-week long high-profile televised defamation, in which a jury found Heard's allegations to be false and defamatory of Depp.

The jury also found the City of Lies star liable for defamation against his one-time wife when one of his attorneys claimed her allegations of sexual abuse were a "hoax." They awarded the mum-of-one $2 million in compensatory damages and $0 in punitive damages.

Depp successfully sued his ex-wife over a newspaper article titled: "I spoke up against sexual violence — and faced our culture’s wrath. That has to change."

Although the op-ed did not directly name the actor, Depp's lawyers successfully argued in court that the article defamed him and impacted his career, thanks to the implied allegations he had abused his ex-wife throughout their marriage - something the actor has always strongly denied.
