The XDefiant open beta will be coming to an end pretty soon, so if you want to jump in, you better be quick.

UPDATE: Ubisoft has confirmed that the XDefiant open beta won't be extended past the original end date.

Players have been able to play XDefiant since Wednesday, with the XDefiant open beta being the first chance many players have been able to play Ubisoft's upcoming FPS title, following the game's short closed beta back in April. It seems to have gone down pretty well with the community, but there have been some ongoing server issues, including a bug which saw players getting stuck on the loading screen. But, on the whole, people are pretty excited.

But, be warned, the XDefiant open beta won't be around for too much longer. Here's the latest information about when the XDefiant open beta ends.

XDefiant open beta end time

Ubisoft has confirmed that the XDefiant open beta is set to come to a close on Friday, June 23 at 11pm PDT, which is 7am BST (UK) / 2am EDT on Saturday, June 24.

There's always the chance that the beta could be extended following server issues – just like the closed beta was – however, we wouldn't hold our breath. It's very likely you'll need to wait until XDefiant releases later on in the summer to get your fix of Ubisoft's latest shooter after the beta ends.

The XDefiant open beta is available for players on on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, but if you have a last-gen console, such as the PS4 or Xbox One, you'll have to wait until the game gets a full release later this summer, as the open beta isn't available on these platforms. Speaking of an XDefiant release date, we haven't got one yet, all we know is that the game will be released in Summer 2023 and will support crossplay across all the platforms mentioned above, including last-gen consoles.

Despite many seeing XDefiant as a potential Call of Duty killer, our first impressions from the closed beta concluded that it was more similar to Valorant, in terms of movement and the character/hero selection mechanics. But with just how poor Warzone 2 is doing lately, XDefiant could be in the right place and the right time, depending on when it's actually released!
