Adam Woodyatt has dropped the biggest hint he could somehow be involved in the big Rose Knight reveal on EastEnders tonight.

It has been confirmed that we will finally find out who Rose Knight really is this evening in some huge scenes. The residents of Walford have been growing increasingly suspicious of George Knight and his family following their shock arrival.

We know George had a wife called Rose Knight, but we know nothing about who she is and why she mysteriously 'disappeared'. Some fans have suggested it could be Cindy Beale making her return, but we will have to wait until tonight to find out.

If Cindy does come back, could this spell a return for Ian Beale too? Viewers have been left reeling over the possibility that not one but two soap legends could be returning to the BBC One soap.

And it looks like Adam – who plays Ian – has hinted his character could have a part in all that's going on.

As he showed off his Wordle on his Instagram story, he highlighted the first word he had put in which was 'Arose' before captioning the image and adding that "it was an appropriate starting word for the day".

The rumour mill has been in overdrive after a trailer was dropped about Rose's identity. In the clip, the rose petals can be seen falling off the stem, whilst the words "every rose has a thorn" was shown on the screen.

Whoever Rose ends up being, fans will be no doubt delighted to see how everything pans out.

Adam has spoken out about a possible EastEnders return multiple times, and has always refused to rule it out.

"I'm never gonna say never," Adam told website The Buzz most recently, "But it's a question I get asked all the time. And it's a question I can't answer because I don't know the answer. It's not just my decision, it's their decision as well. They've got to write something. I've got to be available. Because I keep doing other work. The door's open, but there's a lot of doors that are open."

In another interview, he added: "I think it doesn't matter what happens from this point onwards, I'm always going to be Ian Beale. He is part of the country and synonymous with EastEnders. I don't know what's going to happen.

"The door's open, but that door's open and there's lots of other doors open too. He could come back."
