If your Amazon Fire TV Stick is starting to stutter then good news is on the horizon. Amazon has just confirmed the date for its next Prime Day sale and its most powerful dongle is getting a massive price cut.

The Fire TV Stick Max, which features a fast processor, speedy Wi-Fi 6 technology, Alexa remote control and a clever Picture-in-Picture option, usually costs £64.99 but from June 29 that price could be slashed by over 55%. That could mean you'll be able to pop one of these streaming devices into your shopping basket for as little as £30.

Prime Day doesn't actually start until July 11, but Amazon has confirmed that a batch of its own-brand devices including the Fire TV Stick, Echos and Kindles are all getting early bird discounts.

"From June 29th and throughout Prime Day, Amazon Devices deals will unlock savings of up to 58% on selected products, including the all new Echo Pop, Echo Show 5 and Echo Show 5 Kids, Fire TV Stick 4K Max, Kindle Scribe, Fire Max 11 tablet, Kindle Paperwhite, Blink Home Security, and eero networking devices," Amazon said in Prime Day email seen by Mirror Online.

Of course, to get the massive discounts you will need to be a Prime member which costs £8.99 per month but it might be worth signing up as there are plenty of other offers being promised by Amazon.

Other early bird offers include three months of access to Kindle Unlimited for free which offers over a million books to read without paying a penny extra.

You can also get a £15 credit added to your Amazon account if you download the Amazon Photos app and upload your first photo to this storage service.

Speaking about the upcoming sale, John Boumphrey, UK Country Manager of Amazon, said: “The countdown for Prime Day starts now, and we have an incredible selection of deals to come. “We work really hard to deliver great products at the best prices for customers during Prime Day and throughout the year, from the biggest brands to the 100,000 small British businesses that are available on Amazon.

"There is a lot to be excited about and a lot of value to find, with a few fun surprises and experiences to help you feel like a big deal along the way.”
