Could Harry Kane join Manchester United after all?

Luke Shaw has told his England skipper he would "love" him to complete a move to Old Trafford, which suggests it's too early to rule out a summer transfer.

Declan Rice is another player who could make the switch to Manchester, with United and local rivals Manchester City considering a swoop. Arsenal are still the favourites to sign the midfielder, who will be allowed to leave West Ham for around £100million.

Speaking of the Gunners, they are in talks with Chelsea to sign Kai Havertz. The Germany international has around two years remaining on his existing deal and an asking price of £70m. Mikel Arteta is hoping to pay around £60m for the player's services.

Pochettino warned over Kepa decision

New Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is willing to start next season with Kepa Arrizabalaga as his No1. goalkeeper - despite being warned that he isn't "physically or mentally strong enough."

A resurgent campaign from Kepa, 28, was one of the few positives for Chelsea last season, as the Blues slumped to a humiliating 12th-placed finish in the Premier League. But the Spain international doesn't convince everyone, particularly Stan Collymore.

The ex-Nottingham Forest and Liverpool striker has slammed the 28-year-old for being "weak," urging Pochettino to replace him with compatriot David Raya during the summer transfer window.

Martinez backs Neves to Al-Hilal move

Portugal boss Roberto Martinez has hailed Ruben Neves’ move to Saudi Arabia as an “incredible opportunity”.

Neves is leaving Wolves after six years at Molineux to join Al Hilal in a £47million move, following the lead of his international teammate, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Speaking on Monday night, Martinez said: “It’s an incredible opportunity in many ways. It's a new league. Since Cristiano went there, it has become a very different market. It is something that will change a lot and quickly.”

Martinez also insisted Neves’ Seleccao hopes won’t be affected by trading the Premier League for a league that is ranked outside world football’s top 50.

“This decision does not affect Rúben Neves at all.

“What will matter is whether he can keep fit, play a different role than he did in the Premier League, where he was the main player.

“It's a new project. We are excited for him. It will make him even more mature, but he has always been a mature player, since his time at FC Porto. It will be a new challenge.”

Mas posted a picture on Twitter of three blank Miami shirts, with the words 'Coming soon' underneath the vacant area of the locker room. Messi has already been confirmed as a new arrival, meaning there's two more players joining him in MLS.

There's heavy speculation about who his new team-mates could be, although Barcelona legends Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba are the overwhelming favourites to help build an All-Star team in MLS. Alba reached a mutual agreement with Barcelona to end his contract a year early, with his original deal set to expire at the end of next season.

The former Atletico Madrid 'keeper had a mixed campaign last time out, despite winning the Premier League's golden glove award for most clean sheets. While there were certainly some stellar stops there was also a number of high-profile errors.

Smith Rowe staying put

"It was tough, but we were in a title race and I understand the manager isn't going to change the team if we're winning every game.

"Arsenal are my club and I'm not going to give up until [Arteta] says he doesn't want me," the 22-year-old added. "But that's not the case. He wants me as part of the team and I want to fight for my place and get back in the team."

ICYMI - Ten Hag fury as transfer plan ripped up

Erik ten Hag has been left exasperated as Manchester United look set to miss out on transfer target Kim Min-jae with the Napoli defender set to join Bayern Munich.

Kim, 26, has been linked with a summer switch to Old Trafford for months after starring in Napoli’s run to the title.

The South Korean only joined the Serie A club last season from Fenerbahce but such were the level of his performances, he has admirers across Europe’s top clubs.

United’s hopes of signing Kim are now diminishing amid the uncertainty over United’s takeover situation.

The club’s Glazer owners initiated the sales process seven months ago and despite Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim both tabling multiple bids, United’s future remains unclear.

PSG backed into corner as Real Madrid drop Mbappe hint

Mbappe made headlines recently after sending a letter to PSG to inform them he will not trigger a one-year contract extension, meaning his deal will come to an end in June 2024.

Teenage prospect signs new Spurs deal

Tottenham prospect Mikey Moore has today signed a two year contract - after turning down offers from a host of top clubs.

Real Madrid, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund along with every major Premier League team were watching the 15-year-old whose contract was due to expire this summer.

Mirror Sport revealed on May 26 that Tottenham were battling to keep the hot prospect who does not turn 16 until August.

Chelsea had made a mega contract offer to sign Moore who is the shining light of Tottenham’s academy and it was seen as a major test of the club’s commitment and ambition for their youth set-up as to whether they could keep him.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy even got involved personally to ensure the deal got done to send a strong message.

Moore has trained with the first team and is regarded as one of the best prospects in Europe for his age group because of his dribbling and close skill.

It is a major boost for Tottenham and also indicates they are determined to build on their reputation for bringing youngsters through.

Under Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho, there was a feeling youngsters were not getting a chance but now Ange Postecoglou comes with a reputation as a manager who wants to bring through young players.

Now there is a feeling that Moore will get his chance at first team level within the next two years.

Everton have opened talks over Leeds pair Willy Gnonto and Jack Harrison, according to Football Transfers.

Former Manchester City man Harrison is reported to have a release clause of £16m, while Gnonto's price tag hands in the balance.

Leeds have already begun their post-relegation overhaul, confirming that several players - including Adam Forshaw and Joel Robles - will leave following the expiry of their contracts.

Reds ramp up midfielder pursuit

Liverpool are pushing to sign Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich this summer with the player open to an exit from the Bundesliga giants.

Gravenberch joined Bayern in a £21million transfer from Ajax last summer, but endured a frustrating debut season in Germany, with Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka blocking his path to the starting line-up. The 21-year-old played 32 times across all competitions, yet just five of those came from the starting line-up.

Bayern recently announced the signing of Konrad Laimer from RB Leipzig on a four-year deal, prompting Gravenberch to clarify that any update on his own future will be delivered after the Under-21 European Championships, which will conclude in early July.

United to replace De Gea

Manchester United are prioritising the signing of a new first-choice goalkeeper this summer and are prepared for the departure of David de Gea.

De Gea is out of contract at the end of the current campaign and having turned down the club’s contract offer, there is now a big possibility that he leaves the club this summer. United did not take up their option of triggering a one-year extension to his contract as they wanted a dramatic decrease in wages.

The Spaniard signed a hefty deal in 2019 that made him not only the club's highest-paid player but also the Premier League's top earner on £375,000 per week. United understand this contract was an error on their behalf and they are now actively seeking to replace him.
