Manchester United are yet to make a major summer signing but several players are on their radar.

Harry Kane, for weeks, has been touted as their top target but a move for the Tottenham striker is no longer likely due to the finances involved. Erik ten Hag though is keen to add a new No 9 to help aid United in the final third.

Chelsea's Mason Mount, who has reportedly agreed terms, is also on their shortlist but they and the Blues remain someway apart on price. David de Gea's possible exit could also force the club into finding a new No 1 over the coming months. Ten Hag's budget will be considerably less than his first summer, which could lead to some high profile departures.

Here's the latest transfer news from Old Trafford.

Onana door opened

Chelsea have reportedly pulled out of the race to sign Andre Onana, clearing the way for United to target a move for the Inter Milan goalkeeper.

The Cameroon international has been in fantastic form this season, drawing interest following his part in helping Inter Milan reach the Champions League final. The 27-year-old has been linked to Chelsea, but with Kepa Arrizabalaga set to retain the number one shirt, their sights are thought to have turned to bringing in a number two.

United, meanwhile, are believed to be targeting a goalkeeper as part of their summer transfer business. De Gea has made high-profile mistakes this season. He was not named on the club's retained list having not yet agreed a new contract, fuelling reports that United are set to bring in a new number one 'keeper.

Eriksen "can see" Hojlund at Old Trafford

Christian Eriksen has revealed he “can see” Rasmus Hojlund at United as club officials mull over an £86m deal.

The 20-year-old has caught the eye of his Danish teammate Eriksen, who thinks that the Atalanta striker has what it takes to be a success at Old Trafford. Speaking to Ekstra Bladet whilst on international duty, the playmaker said: "I can see him [Hojlund] at Manchester United, but I haven't recommended him to Erik ten Hag.

"He is a fantastic guy and a good player and has really developed brilliantly at Atalanta. What the club ends up doing, I will not be able to answer."

Watkins a 'no risk' signing

Aston Villa star Ollie Watkins has emerged as a transfer target for the Red Devils as Ten Hag continues his search for a new striker.

Watkins netted 15 league goals last season to help fire Villa into Europe, having scored 11 and 14 respectively in his previous two Premier League campaigns.

According to the Athletic, Ten Hag wants a "no risk" signing and Watkins is among the forwards being considered given he has a proven Premier League record. The report states that Watkins 'has been watched by United' and has just two years left on his current deal.
