Love Island's Cara DeLaHoyde mum-shamed by fans as she enjoys family day out
Love Island star Cara De La Hoyde has been met with concern from fans after she seemingly made a parenting mistake with five-year-old son Freddie.
The mum of two, who starred in the 2016 series of Love Island and coupled with now husband Nathan Massey, was 'mum shamed' by her followers after they spotted a mistake in how she put her children in the car for a family day out.
32-year-old Cara joined husband Nathan and their two children, five-year-old Freddie and two-year-old Delilah, for a trip to Legoland in Windsor as they shared their day out on Instagram.
However fans spotted a potential safety concern in Cara's car after she shared a video with Freddie sat on the backseat.
Concerned fans immediately jumped into the comments of the Instagram video to ask why Freddie wasn't using a booster seat on the backseat of the car.
Love Island's Haris spills on unaired row between Zara and TanyelCurrent Government guidelines state children must use a booster seat until they're 12 or 135cm tall, whichever comes first. Freddie's height is unknown but at five years old he is under the age restriction.
Commenting on the safety issue, one follower commented: "Hate being this person but little man is far too young to be travelling without a high back booster x."
Another added: "He is far too young not to be in a car seat, please seek some advice for his safety x."
"Please get some car seat advice x," said a third.
Cara and husband Nathan were the winners of the second season of Love Island in 2016. The couple, who married in 2019, now share two children but have previously hinted at having a third.
In February last year, Cara admitted the couple were considering another child. She said: "It's been crazy, we are definitely thinking of number three... but just not yet.
"We are going to wait until they are a bit older otherwise I think we’d lose our minds."
However Cara has admitted that busy lifestyles have made it hard for her and Nathan to get intimate, with the pair telling Closer magazine they rarely have sex.
Cara explained: "We don't really have sex, to be honest. We don't do it enough. It's been a while.
"Believe it or not, for a little guy, Nathan's well-trained, and he's very enthusiastic, but it's just finding the time."
