A tech millionaire who lives on a bizarre diet of mushy peas and pills hopes to severely limit his ageing process and become 18 years old again.

Bryan Johnson, who has taken 33,000 images of the inside of his bowels, claims to have the fitness of an 18-year-old due to chowing down on 80 vitamins and minerals a day.

His 'Project Blueprint' sees him spend around $2million every year on a mad diet and specialists that monitor his vital organs.

Last month, his 17-year-old son Talmage donated his blood to his dad, who in turn gave blood plasma to his father Richard, 70.

The idea behind the voluntary treatment came because older rats showed signs of becoming livelier when infused with the blood of younger rats during experiments.

"We have perfected blood-drawing," he told the MailOnline. "Yes, it hurts. What I am doing can be incredibly painful. But I believe it will be worth it in the end."

The 45-year-old eats around 70lbs of pureed vegetables a month and his strict routine sees him go to bed at 8.30pm every single night.

Johnson, who sold his Braintree Venmo business to PayPal for $800million, eats exactly 1,977 calories every day.

"I currently have no plans to die,' he said also claiming his diet of almond milk, walnuts, flaxseed and berries means he has the heart of a 37-year-old and the completion of a 28-year-old.

The new lifestyle is a big change for Bryan, who became overweight and unhappy after he sold his business and went through a tricky divorce.

He added that there was an "Evening Bryan" who would make him eat fatty foods with that proviso he worked out a day later.

Inevitably, Evening Bryan was telling lies.

He added: "It took me years to remove that internal demon. I learned how to recognise him and I would say, 'Thank you Evening Bryan, but it's not going to happen. We know what happens when we eat too much and we don't feel good… so no."

Normal, everyday Bryan now argues that humans are "mad" as a species because we choose to have items like cigarettes, alcohol and junk food.

His lifestyle changes don't just stop at his diet, blood and exercise, Bryan wears special glasses to block out blue light and wears a device that monitors nighttime erections.

A small dose of testosterone is needed to redress the balance his restrictive balance causes and a dose of lithium also helps his mood.

He now hopes to extend Project Blueprint to a woman and Bryan said he has narrowed down the applicants from "thousands of women".
