If you're currently planning some DIY work for your home and are worried that sprucing it up will be a long and arduous process, then fear not, as one man has proved it doesn't have to be.

A social media user has gone viral after sharing a video of a man painting a wall in a house.

In the clip, which has garnered lots of attention, the unnamed man can be seen painting the entire wall in as little as 30 seconds.

The man's impressive handiwork was shared on TikTok by user @angela_j_official and the post was captioned: "How on earth is this even possible?"

In the video, the man can be seen walking alongside a yellow wall, while he makes zig-zag strokes with a roller soaked in white paint.

Once he's reached the end of the wall, he swiftly walks back while covering the remaining yellow paint entirely.

Before you can even comprehend what's just happened, the whole thing is done.

Many were left flabbergasted by the decorator's skills and wished that they could hire him.

One viewer asked: "Do you want to come and do my hallway, stairs and landing please?"

Another joked: "I'll pay him by the hour lol".

And one woman revealed how he manages to paint the wall so quickly.

She commented: "My hubby paints like this. It's just a soaked roller with a lot of strength so the paint doesn't stick to the roller when rolling."

This comes after an interior design expert shared their trusty five-step method to pick the perfect paint colour for your room.

Tash Bradley from Lick explained that the first step is all to do with thinking about who you are decorating the space for, who lives in the house and what are their styles like as you want to create a home that's "comfortable" for everyone.

Next, you have to consider the 'fixed elements' in the room and the colours they are - such as your flooring, the sofa, kitchen countertops, etc.

Thirdly, work out what you do and don't like about the room and how you can use colour to highlight the things you love or distract the eyes away from the things you don't like.

The painting pro's two final tips are all to do with figuring out your own personal style, as this will also have an impact on your colour choices and work out the mood you want to create in the space - do you want it to feel relaxing and cosy or bright and playful.
