Boy, 16, dies on opening day of music festival
A teenage boy died following a 'medical episode' on the first day of a Welsh music festival.
The 16-year-old died in an ambulance on the way to hospital after attending the In It Together festival in Margam, Neath Port Talbot on Friday.
The three-day family-friendly festival, which ends today and is described as "Wales' biggest festival", returned for its second year with The Kooks, Anne-Marie, James and UB40 among the acts performing, reports Wales Online.
A spokesman for South Wales Police: "Police officers were called to an incident at the In It Together festival at Margam after a 16-year-old boy from Port Talbot suffered a medical episode. Sadly the boy died while being taken to hospital via ambulance. Our sympathies are with his family at this time."
Police added there were no suspicious circumstances and the coroner has been informed.

'We sent a community first responder, closely followed by two rapid response vehicles and an emergency ambulance, we were also supported by Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service."
The festival organisers have been contacted for comment.
