Real Housewife Teresa Giudice's $10k wedding hair insulted by her own daughter
Teresa Giudice's August 2022 nuptials to Luis Ruelas finally aired on Tuesday night's episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and fans finally got to see her infamous wedding hair that set the internet alight at the time.
During her big day in East Brunswick, New Jersey, in August, the 51 year old sported a half-down half-up voluminous hairstyle with towering tight curls at the top, all held in place with a sparkling silver crown.
And while the hairdo didn't go down too well on social media, it was clear that it wasn't a hit with Teresa's nearest and dearest either.
During the episode, the reality star asked her daughters about her hair, and they did not hold back.
"You literally look like a rat's nest," 19 year old Gabriella told her mother.
Viral sausage roll debate leaves Brits confused about how to order at GreggsGia, 22, added: "Obviously, it's big. Queen Elizabeth probably has a crown like that."
Later, in one of her confessional interviews on the show, Teresa said she stuck by her choice of hairstyle as she loved "statement pieces" that were "dramatic."
On her wedding day, viewers also saw Teresa admitting that the hairstyle and crown combination, which was put in place by her hairdresser Lucia Casazza, made her head feel heavy, but it didn't matter as she "loved the height of it!"
Teresa's unique and dramatic hairstyle went viral on social media at the time, with her castmate Jennifer Aydin revealing at a BravoCon panel in October that wedding guests "gasped" when she walked down the aisle during her big day.
Meanwhile, in an interview shortly after their wedding, Teresa and her husband, Luis, admitted that they romped up to five times a day when they first got married.
Later, she said she stood by her stance of having sex multiple times per day in order to keep the romance alive.
Talking to PEOPLE, Teresa explained: "That was on our honeymoon. You figure morning, afternoon, night time and in between. But I mean, listen, my point is, if you don't do that, then that's not normal. That means you love the person you're with and want to be with ... I mean if not, then why be with that person? It's a normal thing when you love someone."
Louie chipped in: "During the honeymoon, I'm like, 'I'm going home with a lot of clean clothes,' 'cause we stayed naked a lot of the time, but it was like... I'm attentive to her needs."
He added: "We live on six acres, big house, a lot of work that goes on. We'll fly past each other like ships in the night and be like, 'I'll see you tonight, I'm going to see all of you tonight. I'll meet up with you, I'll meet you later on.' The kids know we're in love. In the house, they're like, 'Mom, please no P.D.A. right now'."
The couple met and began dating in 2020 and got engaged in October 2021.
