Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is 'desperate' to deliver the first ever Super Bowl win for the franchise, and is looking for new ways to improve ahead of the 2023 season.

Allen is one of the finest quarterbacks in the NFL, although he is yet to master the Play-Offs after repeated failure ever since being drafted seventh overall in 2018. The furthest stage Allen has ever reached in the postseason is the AFC Championship, but he's keen to go all the way next season.

Head coach Sean McDermott has already noticed a change in Allen this offseason, claiming to reporters that the 27-year-old has reached "another level" through focus and determination. And Allen is certainly backing up those claims as he's got his sights set on a maiden Super Bowl appearance, and potentially a first Lombardi Trophy for the Bills.

The Bills have never won the Super Bowl, despite making it to the big game on four occasions. They haven't been in the Super Bowl since 1993, but that's something that Allen is keen to change right away.

"I so badly want to bring a Super Bowl here to Buffalo," Allen said on Tuesday to ESPN. "I just don’t want anything to get in the way of allowing me to be the best quarterback that I can be for this team."

"I want to give everything that I have for as long as I play. I’m not saying that I haven’t done that in the past, but there’s always new ways that I can find to get better, and not being complacent with what I’m doing on the field, understanding that there’s a lot of plays that we left out there.

"And you know, statistically, you look at it, we were top three, four [in] offense in the league last year, and it wasn’t good enough. So, just losing the playoffs isn’t fun, you know?"

The Bills were the team to beat during the start of the regular season in 2022, but began to stumble towards the end. Allen threw four interceptions in their two Play-Off matches, and admits himself that improvement is needed.

But McDermott has already noticed a change in Allen's approach, and if he can cut out mistakes and make the necessary adjustments it could be a huge year for the Bills. "I just think Josh taking his game to another level really means being a great decision-maker," McDermott said.

"We’ve talked about before this offseason — and it’s been talked about — adjusting his style of play enough to keep himself healthy and to play smarter at times as well. And then I just think the overall approach to the game, I’ve seen a different Josh this offseason. Not that it was bad before, but he’s got a new sense of focus, I would say, and determination — which is good."
