Former Tottenham striker Peter Crouch has told Harry Kane his only realistic options this summer are to stay at Spurs or join Manchester United.

England captain Kane is about to enter the final year of his deal in North London, having become Spurs' all-time record scorer this season. However, speculation over his future beyond this season remains rife.

Crouch revealed he has spoken with Kane, but hasn't got a definitive answer on where the striker will be playing his football next term. Kane was on target again for his current club on Saturday as he won multiple club awards, but couldn't prevent a defeat at home to Brentford which leaves their European hopes hanging in the balance.

"I did ask him the question [whether the Brentford match was his last home game for Spurs] and he was very diplomatic in his answer," Crouch told BT Sport. "I don’t think even he knows.

"He might have ambitions to go somewhere else and potentially win a trophy but it’s not just down to him, he still has a year left. There’s a man at the club that doesn’t want to lose his star player and what would it mean to these fans to lose a player of Kane’s calibre?

"Where can he go? Manchester City City is sewn up now. Manchester United is the only real option I can see. You can’t go to Chelsea. You can’t go to Arsenal.

" Newcastle is potentially an option but I still feel that’s a sideways move. Newcastle got great potential but I feel like he might as well stay at Tottenham."

As well as Man Utd, another option previously suggested for Kane is Bayern Munich, with the Bundesliga holders still after a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski after the Pole's exit last summer. However, with Kane just 49 goals shy of Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League record of 260, it remains to be seen whether a move away from the Premier League is one he wants to make.

Kane's goal against Brentford was his 28th in the league this term, and a hat-trick against Leeds on the final day would make this his best ever Premier League campaign. However, Brentford battled back after going behind to the England striker's free-kick, with Bryan Mbeumo scoring twice and Yoane Wissa making it three.

One man who definitely won't be at Spurs next season is Lucas Moura. The Brazil international, who scored a hat-trick to take the London side into the 2019 Champions League final, is due to move on when his contract expires and said goodbye to the fans on Saturday.

"I can’t believe it’s time to say goodbye," the former Paris Saint-Germain star wrote on social media. "I don’t have the words to explain how grateful I am for having had the opportunity to defend this badge. Thank you very much Spurs family, God bless you all. I will always love you."
