Mick Jagger's daughter Jade and her boyfriend will be appearing in court after allegedly assaulting police officers.

It was claimed the daughter of Rolling Stone rocker Mick allegedly assaulted several national police officers during an incident in a restaurant in Ibiza on Wednesday night.

She has reportedly spent two nights in custody after the alleged incident and is set to appear in court today, according to the Spanish press.

Jade, 51, and her boyfriend Anthony Hinkson were meant to be driven in a police van from Ibiza's National Police HQ to the courthouse for the hearing.

Police in Ibiza confirmed on Friday: "The detainees arrested on Wednesday night will go to court today."

Neither the jewellery designer nor her boyfriend have been charged with any crime under Spanish law, as is normal in Spain where formal charges are only laid shortly before trial.

Jade was with a friend at La Oliva restaurant when she reportedly started behaving in an "aggressive and violent" manner.

There was a clash with the staff and one of her pal's allegedly started yelling and threatening other diners.

At the time, a source told the Mirror: "Police arrested two people last night, a man and a woman, in Ibiza.

"Around 9pm there was a police intervention as a result of a call from a restaurant about a man they said was behaving violently with customers and workers.

"The man had gone by the time police arrived."

Police officers arrested the singer's daughter on suspicion of committing the crime of ‘atentado contra la autoridad’, which translates from Spanish to ‘attack against authority‘ and covers offences ranging from resisting arrest to assaulting an officer.

Those found guilty could be sentenced to up to four years. However, first-time offenders' jail sentences of two years or less are usually suspended.

It will now be up to an investigating judge to decide what sort of charge the police accusations against Jagger and her boyfriend merit.

It was not immediately clear this morning if the case will be dealt with by way of a speedy trial.

The other most likely option would be for the judge to release the jewellery designer and her partner on bail following a behind-closed-door court quiz, pending an ongoing criminal investigation.
