Bayer Leverkusen vs AS Roma betting preview
Roma will be looking to take advantage of their slender 1-0 lead when they travel to the BayArena for their Europa League semi-final second leg against Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday. Manager Jose Mourinho will be hoping that his side can make the most of their experience and avoid defeat.
However, the bookies have priced the hosts as the favourites with Leverkusen evens with Betfred to win tonight's clash while Roma are 13/5 to secure their place in the final and a draw is 5/2. Leverkusen, who are winless in their last five matches across all competitions, will be hoping to capitalise on their home form.
The Italians, who have only won once in their last five matches, got the result they wanted in the first leg, claiming a 1-0 victory thanks to Eduardo Bove's second hand effort. However, their away record has not been the best recently as they are currently on a four-match winless run away from home, including three draws in their last five matches.
Roma have also struggled defensively on their travels in the Europa League, keeping just one clean sheet in their last six matches in the competition. As such, they will need to be on their guard and draw on the experience of Jose Mourinho if they are to avoid defeat on Thursday.
