The Hairy Bikers have announced a new TV show after Dave Myers battled cancer.

Si King and his co-star Dave have confirmed they will back on our screens very soon with their brand new show, The Hairy Bikers Go West. At the Wales Screen Summit, it was confirmed that the pair will reunite for a special eight-part series for the BBC.

The show will see them travel across the west shores of Britain to meet some wonderful food producers as well as sample the incredible cuisines offered by each part of the country, as they travel from north to south.

As part of their show, the duo will begin in Scotland before riding all the way down to Devon. The programme will also see the pair visit some places that hold very special memories to the duo.

The trip will see them head to the likes of Bute Island as well as Dumfries & Galloway, Lancashire, Merseyside, North Wales, The Severn Estuary, Somerset and the Isle of Man before finishing in Devon.

Dave previously told The Mirror he is back at work thanks to a sauerkraut diet.

"It's unbelievable to be back. Every breath I take now is just refreshing and fabulous. It varies really what food I’ve been having. At some stage I need to put weight on but I need things to boost my immune system," he said.

"So I’ve been eating a lot of sauerkraut. It really works for me – sauerkraut, kimchi and meatballs. I live by it. It’s a probiotic and good for the immune system and keeps you regular. I love it. It’s the healthy eating that does it."

Dave added how it's a "work in progress" for him as he heads back to work.

He said: "We got back filming this week, a new TV series, and it is a huge step back to normality and winning an award. I got diagnosed last March so it’s been over a year. It’s a work in progress and it’s all going the right way. I’m getting there and I’m back on the bike."
