Sassuolo face a fight to keep in-demand midfielder Davide Frattesi amid Premier League interest.

Frattesi has impressed in Serie A this term and Juventus are keen. But Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevalli has told Il Foglio that “there are also Premier League clubs keen”.

One of those is understood to be Brighton, where four-cap Italian international Frattesi could potentially reunite with Roberto de Zerbi.

The Seagulls are bracing themselves for Alexis Mac Allister’s likely summer exit and, with speculation continuing to surround Moises Caicedo - despite his recent signing of a new contract - may need to refresh their midfield ranks ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.

Dujon Sterling is set to leave Chelsea to join Scottish side Rangers on a free transfer.

Sterling, 23, has overcome serious illness to impress on loan at Stoke City this season and doesn’t want to return to Chelsea where he won’t see first-team action.

Michael Beale is looking to make changes at Ibrox to get his side closer to champions Celtic next year, and Sterling is likely to be one of many new faces.

Gyokeres a wanted man

Wolves have joined West Ham United in the race to sign Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres.

Mirror Football revealed earlier this week that the Hammers are eyeing a £20million move for the Sweden international, who fired the Sky Blues into the Championship play-offs with 21 goals this term.

Wolves are also monitoring the 24-year-old as Julen Lopetegui looks to beef up his goal-shy attack ahead of next term.

Middlesbrough loan star ready to wait

Ryan Giles has said decisions over his future can wait until after Middlesbrough’s play-off campaign.

The Wolves academy graduate has thrived on Teesside, with his 11 assists a Championship high. Boro are keen to keep the wing-back, although they accept that would likely hinge on whether they can become a Premier League club.

Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui wants a closer look at Giles in pre-season and he was at Molineux to watch his parent club earlier this month. But the 23-year-old insists that his full focus currently lies on helping his loan side to promotion.

He said: “I’ve no idea what the future might hold. I am a Wolves player, and I have two years left on my contract there. But right now, I’m still a Middlesbrough player and we have the play-offs to go, so that’s all I’m thinking about right now."
