Mirror Gaming has the device in hand and will be reviewing it in the near future, but you can have a peep at our Asus ROG Ally unboxing video to experience opening the upcoming device for the first time and gaze at how nice it looks in person.

What to expect at the Asus ROG Ally launch event

Asus promises a breakdown of the Asus ROG Ally hardware including the full specifications, which presumably includes both models. Asus is also set to announce the pricing of the unit at this event. All we really know so far is a leaked price of $699.99 which lines up with word that the unit will be "Under $1,000" according to an Asus representative talking to PC Gamer, which could poise it as a true Steam Deck competitor.

We'll also find out exactly when players will be able to get the device in-hand, while Asus calls this showcase a "launch event" we think its unlikely they'll pull a Sega Saturn and launch it on Thursday, as much as we would love that. The aforementioned $699.99 leak also came with a placeholder date of June 13, 2023, which is fairly soon if it turns out to be true, here's hoping.
