Scarlett Johansson has had the final word on the Disney lawsuit that she was once embroiled in, with the actress remaining positive about the franchise despite how tense their battle got.

Appearing on the front cover of Variety Magazine, the Black Widow actress, 38, has opened up about the "pain and triumph" of her lawsuit in a tell-all interview.

The blonde beauty is best-known for portraying Black Widow in the Marvel cinematic universe, with her first portraying the role in 2010 movie Iron Man 2.

Scarlett and her team had been working hard on pushing Disney to "make good on the millions of dollars in backend compensation she would forgo" after they released 2021 film Black Widow in a hybrid way.

The studio released Black Widow on Disney+ and in cinemas amid the global Coronavirus pandemic around two years ago, with the actress claiming that Disney had "breached" the contract they had with her.

The esteemed actress ended up suing the studio in 2021, alleging that Disney breached her contract by releasing the Marvel film on Disney+, which would in turn reduce her financial stake in the film.

Scarlett had agreed in the contract that her salary would largely be based on the film’s box office numbers, with the studio then revealing her $20 million upfront salary when she sued the company.

But the two parties came to a settlement in the autumn of 2021, with the terms of it not publicly disclosed, and seemingly no bad blood between them.

"I believe in the magic of Disney," she affirmed in the recent interview with Variety, while highlighting how she's able to "separate the creatives at Disney from their business affairs".

Scarlett is a devout Disney fan, with the star even spending a recent Christmas with a group of 15 friends at Disney World, and still visiting the resort "at least 10 times a year".

Speaking to the magazine about her passion for Disney parks, Scarlett gushed over how when she was younger she had an annual pass and would pre-buy tickets to animations like The Little Mermaid upon its release.

But although a huge fan of Disney, she has no interest in being a part of the Marvel cinematic universe again, with her exclaiming “I'm done" just last month.

"I'm done," she said, adding: "Chapter is over. I kind of did all that I had to do.

"Also, coming back and playing a character again and again like that, over a decade of time, is such a unique experience."
