Meghan Markle wasn't at King Charles' Coronation - but she was the topic of conversation for two royals.

The Duchess of Sussex, who was invited to attend on Saturday, decided to remain at home in California to celebrate Prince Archie's fourth birthday.

Despite being the grandchildren of the new King, it is believed that Archie, four, and sister Princess Lilibet, one, were not invited, with sources citing that the kids are "very young".

Meghan's whereabouts seemed to be the subject of an intriguing chat between Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie's husband, which has thrown up more questions than answers.

A lip reader picked up on the moment where the Duke of Sussex is believed to have spoken about his wife to Jack Brooksbank as they waited for Charles to arrive.

Speaking to the Daily Star, the expert suggested Harry replied to an unknown question from Jack which was referring to Meghan, saying: "No, she's at ..."

While tilting his head, Jack allegedly then asked: "And is she?"

Nodding to confirm, Harry added: "It's not ideal."

"If it makes [you] feel any better even I can do it," Jack is believed to have told Harry. "It's not quite the life, is it?"

Harry then appeared to shake his head as Jack then replied: "I haven't had time for that, not if it's over..."

Then Harry seemed to make a very cryptic remark, stating: "It's an eventuality."

Parts of the conversation were hard to decipher due to various guests walking in front of the pair.

Jack appeared to show sympathy towards his cousin-in-law, who also spoke about a mysterious meeting.

The lip reader picked up on the moment where Jack asked Harry: "The meeting?"

It's not known what Harry was specifically referring to - and whether the alleged gathering did or did not take place.

Harry then told him: "It's sad. I'm fed up, I've tried talking to him."

While no one knows for sure, it would seem likely that Harry was talking about King Charles or Prince William due to the soured relations.

Jack and Eugenie are some of the only royals who have continued to meet up with Harry and Meghan.

Prince Andrew's second eldest daughter was the first and possible only royal visitor to see the Sussexes when they moved to California - and Harry recalls attending a Halloween party with his cousin in his book Spare.

Eugenie also appeared in the couple's Netflix docuseries, cycling with Harry on the beach, and her son August is just four months older than Lili.

Harry arrived at Westminster Abbey with the pair - and seemed to find his feet as he returned to being a "joker".

Body language expert Judi James noticed that Harry was mimicking his Eugenie's heavily pregnant state upon his arrival.

His funny action made Eugenie and husband Jack laugh - and showed a display of confidence around them from Harry.

S‌he told the Mirror: "Chatting first to Edo he then got the attention of Eugenie and Jack and we saw an incredible return of the joker prince as Harry grinned and used two hands cupped widely under his stomach to do what looked like a mime of Eugenie's heavily-pregnant state."

The only formal part of the Coronation which Harry took part in was the ceremony in Westminster Abbey on Saturday.

Harry did make a surprise detour to Buckingham Palace for 30 minutes, but did not speak to any relatives as they were busy with the procession, balcony appearance and taking the official photographs.

Then he headed to Heathrow airport and flew home before the street parties, Windsor Castle concert and Big Help Out day.

Meghan Markle had decided to stay Stateside so she could celebrate Archie's birthday.

Meghan reportedly decided to stay in the US to be with Archie on his birthday and host an intimate party.

It's also claimed she felt that attending the historic event would have been "inauthentic," and she wanted to "minimize the drama."
