Love Island’s Amy Hart has spoken out about having to rush her partner, Sam Rason, to hospital after he “sliced his head open”.

The reality star, 30, shared her horror over the incident, in which Sam injured his head by knocking it on a gate.

She rushed her boyfriend to Worthing hospital, sharing a video of herself with fans that she filmed from the waiting room.

Amy said that Sam was in the urgent care centre, receiving treatment for a ‘massive gash’ on his scalp.

Speaking to the camera, she told fans: "I was halfway through cooking a bank holiday tapas extravaganza for us...Stanley was asleep, Sam was sorting some stuff for the tip...

"When he came in and said he'd sliced his head open on the gate.

"My parents are still away so luckily my auntie sprung into action and to come and sit with Stanley, so we're here for the next however many hours."

Amy admitted that she had been completely unprepared for the trip to hospital, having been in her pyjamas with a hair mask in her hair when Sam showed her his injury.

The reality star told fans the couple had initially gone to A&E but were sent to the urgent treatment centre, where Sam was patched up and able to return home.

Amy told fans that she and Sam had returned home, uploading a picture of her boyfriend with their baby boy Stanley, in which she confirmed Sam’s head had been glued.

The pair welcomed baby Stanley in March, with Amy confessing that Sam has now moved out of their bedroom and sleeps in the nursery, while Stanley sleeps with Amy in the main bedroom.

Amy said: "[Sam] is amazing with Stanley.

"We're very different to what we thought we'd be like.

"So like when we bought a day bed for the nursery people said to me 'oh, it's brilliant because Sam can sleep in there or you can sleep in there'.

"And I was like 'No, we're not one of those couples that will sleep in separate beds, we will always sleep in the same bed together'."
