MOVETHECHAINS (4.10) is a Lingfield specialist, having won at the Surrey track four times last season, all over three miles and all by between 12 and 20 lengths, and is expected to score again at the track in the Sports Racing HD Virgin 535 Handicap Chase.

Gary Moore sent the nine-year-old to Chepstow for the Welsh Grand National over three miles and six furlongs for his seasonal debut, but it was no real surprise he could only finish a distant fifth to The Two Amigos after 315 days of the course.

With a drop back in trip to three and a half miles this will be a considerably easier task.

SHAW PARK (6.00) makes plenty of appeal in the Spreadex Sports Best Odds On Sunderland Restricted Maiden Stakes at Newcastle.

A late starter, Scott Dixon’s four-year-old had his debut run at Wolverhampton last month, and put in a fine effort against more experienced rivals, just failing to catch Saturnalia by a nose, giving lump of weight to the winner.

The son of Aclaim is sure to improve for that run and will be hard to beat in the seven furlong contest.
