It seems I’m well into my hen do era, and although I love going on a weekend away with my girls, it can prove to be pretty pricey - especially if you're guilty of buying new outfits every time, like me.

Instead of heading to my trusty ol’ fave Zara to find the perfect outfits for my friend's upcoming hen do, I decided to rent my entire wardrobe for the weekend from Hirestreet - and not only did it save me from the dreaded 'I have nothing to wear' stress, but it meant I wasn’t stuck paying for outfits I’d most likely never wear again (especially when themes come into play).

Hirestreet allows shoppers to hire stylish dresses, co-ords, jumpsuits and more from some huge fashion names including Nobody’s Child, Lavish Alice, Reformation and Rat & Boa for a fraction of the price - and it’s perfect for special occasions like hen do’s, weddings and weekends away.

For the hen, I was told to pack one pink outfit for our themed night out, one dressy all black outfit for the next day/night, and a comfy outfit to travel there and back in. For the pink outfit, I opted for this stunning Samsara Hot Pink Satin Co-ord in a size 6 which cost me just £20 to hire for four days - pretty good considering it RRP’s for £85.

I was slightly worried about the fit as silky skirts tend to be too big on me, however the entire co-ord fit me like a glove and the material looked and felt super expensive. I paired the pink number with this £26.99 rhinestone bag from Amazon, and white & silver diamanté heels from ASOS.

Seeing as black is my colour, it didn’t take me long to pick out the outfit of my dreams. I spotted this Faux Leather Waistcoat & Flared Trouser Set, and thought it was the perfect choice to take me from day to night. This chic set from Boohoo usually costs £60, however I grabbed it for just £20 - and it meant I could create two looks in one day.

For our daytime activity (you guessed it, it was bottomless brunch), I decided to pair the faux leather waistcoat with some blue jeans and leather boots for a more casual look. Heading into the evening, I kept the waistcoat on, however switched out my blue jeans for the matching leather trousers to create a dressier nighttime look. I paired the set with some chunky gold heels from ASOS and a YSL bag.

After a heavy weekend I knew I’d want to slip into something comfy to travel home in, and this Seven Wonders Golden Girl Top and Trouser Co-Ord certainly fit the bill. This stylish set usually costs £89, but like the other two outfits, I paid just £20 to hire it out - and after receiving so many compliments when wearing it, I’m tempted to order it again for this weekend! I paired it with my New Balance trainers, and a roomy rattan tote bag for a casual yet chic look.

The rental platform gives you the option to hire out the clothes for 4 days, 10 days or 30 days - and prices vary depending on which items you pick. Seeing as I was going away for two nights, I decided on the four day rental which gave me enough time to receive the outfits, and then take the parcel back in time when I got home.

All in all, I spent £60 on my entire weekend wardrobe which is much less than I’d normally spend when buying completely new outfits. I couldn't believe how seamless the whole process was too! After choosing my outfits and the correct sizes, I could then pick when I wanted them to arrive (Hirestreet recommends at least three days before your event).

My items arrived bang on time on the Wednesday which gave me plenty of time to try them on for size before I went away two days later. The items came all packaged up in a box, with the returns label ready for me to stick on and take it back to my local post office once my renting period was up. Best of all? You don’t even have to pay to post it back either - so it’s a win, win.

One thing to note is that all the clothes come with a label attached to them, so if you decide to wear them, it’s totally fine to remove the label - don’t panic, it’s not like ASOS where they won’t let you return it!
