I'm A Celebrity star booted from jungle by campmates in show first
Amir Khan has become the third star to leave I'm A Celebrity South Africa.
The boxer was booted off the show in scenes that aired this evening on ITV, and he seemed very happy to be heading back to his family and to be reunited with them after a long week in the jungle for the special All Stars series.
After the huge news that they would be choosing who would be voted off the show, the campmates were clearly struggling with their decisions and sat down to discuss what best to do - and if anyone wanted to go.
Amir said: "This has been the craziest week of my life. There’s no messing about and anybody could be voted out," as Jordan added: "Remember, we all get along, we’re all friends, it is not personal - but we’re all a team."
The boxer said he wanted to go, and wanted to get back on the phone with his wife, having done three trials already during his short stint in the jungle, whilst Janice admitted she didn’t like the idea of voting someone out.
TOWIE's Chloe Brockett makes cheeky dig at Saffron Lempriere during filmingHowever, they all went along with it and voted for someone one by one in a secret ballot, with Helen admitting it was a "really difficult" decision. Paul said he was voting for that person because he knew that’s what they wanted.
After casting their votes, the celebrities went to sleep and were woken the next morning by Ant and Dec’s arrival into camp.
"You all know why we’re here this morning, last night we left you with the news that someone would be leaving camp as a result of a secret ballot," Dec said as he revealed who would be heading home next.
He broke the news it would be Amir leaving, and he seemed pleased to be heading home, excited to see his family.
Before he entered the jungle for the second time, the boxer was best known for tucking into strawberries the whole camp had won.
"I don't regret one bit what I do," he said, "I was starving at the time and it was fun and boisterous! It caused a lot of commotion in camp, but I couldn't believe how big it became! I get people talking about it and coming over with gifts of strawberry bowls."
