Newsboy’s horseracing tips for Tuesday’s five meetings, including Nottingham Nap

KINGMANIA (3.40, Nap) can be an appropriate winner in Coronation week when she switches to turf at Nottingham today.

The mare, a new member of the James Ferguson string this year following the retirement of Chris Wall, made a winning debut at Southwell last month.

She finished late and fast to claim a 1m handicap and could step forward from that first run in 159 days over half a furlong further.

Most of her form for Wall was on much firmer ground but she ran well enough on soft ground at Newmarket last October to suggest she should cope with a wet Nottingham track.

SPARTAN ARROW (3.50, Nb) can hit the target for the first time at Brighton where the Simon and Ed Crisford inmate tackles a maiden race.

The son of Kingman finished second in what is turning out to be a decent novice race at Wolverhampton when last seen in September.

Five subsequent winners have emerged out of the 6f race and Spartan Arrow can become the sixth.

The best race of the day, the Listed British EBF Nottinghamshire Oaks, can go the way of Sir Michael Stoute’s CRYSTAL CAPELLA (4.10).

Stoute has claimed two of the last three editions of the contest and Crystal Capella, who won three times at 1m last year, looks ready to step up in class and trip.
