The incident comes just weeks after a Beankini Espresso Auburn barista narrowly escaped being kidnapped during a drive-thru in Auburn, Washington, US.

Shocking CCTV footage captured the moment a man in a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck tries to grab a girl's arm in the early hours of January 17.

The barista, who hands over the customer's change, is then pulled by the man as he attempts to kidnap her.

The driver also appears to place a zip tie around the woman's wrist.

Luckily, the girl pulls her hand back managing to escape, and slams the drive-through window closed.

The man drops his change and drives away.

The barista suffered minor cuts, according to a police spokesperson, who said the workers are "vulnerable" due to working by themselves and in the dark.

According to the owner of the coffee shop, it has left her workers terrified after the traumatic experience.

One worker, who did not wished to be named, said: “Our owner allows us to shut the window on any customer and handle every situation in the way we feel comfortable. We are allowed to refuse service to anyone for any reason,”

The Auburn Police Department confirmed the man has since been arrested.

On Twitter they said: "After overwhelming support from the community, APD has arrested a suspect in this case."
