After making the switch from Penn State to Kentucky, Will Levis has seen his profile rise and now he's even pushing Bryce Young to be the No.1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Levis endured two underwhelming years at Penn State before moving to Kentucky in 2021, where his college career really started to take off. Levis started 24 games across two years with Kentucky, winning 17 and winning the 2022 Citrus Bowl along the way.

The 23-year-old is expected to be a high Draft pick in the first round, but a recent leak on Reddit has seen his odds drop significantly as he puts pressure on Alabama star Young for the No.1 pick. Many experts had Levis destined for the Indianapolis Colts in their mock Drafts, but there's scope for him to be selected by the Carolina Panthers instead.

Levis is already boasting an estimated net worth of $1million (£800,000) according to Sportskeeda, due to his impressive college career so far, but the Kentucky star has also come from a comfortable family background. Levis comes from a sporting family, with his father playing football at Denison University, a NCAA Division III school in Ohio.

According to Kentucky Kernel, Levis' mother, Beth Kelley, was a two-time All-American soccer player at Yale, with his uncle also playing football at the same university. Levis' great-grandfather was an All-American football player at Cornell University, and went on to act as a head coach for several college teams.

The 23-year-old has become well known for his strange dietary habits, posting a viral video of himself adding mayonnaise to coffee. He's set to become considerably richer, no matter what team selects the young quarterback. He also screams in terror at the sight of milk and eats bananas with the skin on.

"It was a Friday before a game, me and my girlfriend were at breakfast, we got our coffees and there was no cream, no sugar on the table, just a bottle of mayo," Levis said at the NFL scouting combine, explaining his coffee habit.

"She made the kind of funny joke ‘Do you think people are supposed to put this in their coffee?’ And I was like, ‘Maybe, let's try it out.’ Did that, knew that it would get a rise out of people and it went way further than I expected.

"It was just a joke, didn't taste half bad but I haven't done it since unless forced to."

Will Levis' college career

Levis enjoyed a solid end to his college career, but it was his first season with Kentucky that really made him standout from the crowd. After growing frustrated as a back-up at Penn State Levis moved to the Wildcats and made a major statement in his first year.

2,826 passing yards were completed in 13 games, as Kentucky finished the year with a 10-3 record under Levis. The quarterback threw for 24 touchdowns and even managed to rush into the endzone on nine occasions himself.

The numbers dropped slightly for Levis in his final year, but he still left Kentucky with the second-most wins ever recorded by a single quarterback. His passing rating was a career-high 151.9 in his final year, as Levis switched his focus away from rushing with the ball.

Will Levis' 'leaked' Draft odds

Heading into Draft week it was Young that was the overwhelming favourite to be picked first overall, but a leaked Reddit post claimed that Levis has told friends and family that he would be heading to the Carolina Panthers. Levis dropped from 40/1 to 4/1 to be the No.1 pick on Tuesday morning according to ESPN, and his height advantage could also play a part.

Young may have impressed at Alabama, but standing short of six-foot has led to some doubts over his ability in the NFL. Levis is much taller at six-foot-three, and could pip his Draft rival on Thursday night.

Levis was tipped to join the Colts, but could be selected by the Panthers instead. Growing up in Massachusetts neither are a million miles away, but a trip to the east coast may favour Levis.
