When choosing a baby name - it's important to find a pick both parents love. As such, it's not uncommon for partners to give each other the power to 'veto' choices they hate.

But what should you do if your beloved scrapped several names you suggested? It's the very-real dilemma one parent is facing, as their significant other apparently dislikes their recommendations.

However, it might not be such a bad thing if social media users are to be believed.

The parent has been warned to reconsider their list of baby names after revealing all of the choices their partner disliked online.

In a blow to the creative thinker, people have suggested most of the names are 'awful'. In some cases, responders claimed every single name should be scrapped.

The controversial list came to light after the parent took to Facebook group, 'That name isn't a tragedeigh, it's a murghdyrr.'

In an anonymous post, they wrote: "My SO vetoed the names:

Mosaic (unisex)

Silhouette (female)

Riccochet (male)

Vayne (male)

Campari (female)

Paisley (unisex)

Beatrice/Beatrix (female)

"Were they all bad, or is she being unreasonable?"

Unfortunately, few people took the parent's side. One person claimed: "They are all bad. Very bad."

Another put: "They are all bad and you need to stop having ideas," and a third said: "Please do not name a human any of those names."

Another commented: "Say satire rn." Someone else instructed: "You stop that right now," and a different person wrote: "Ur SO is 10000% right here."

Meanwhile, one responder pointed out: "Mosaic is a type of wart." "Riccochet? Really? Lmao come on now u can do better," a second questioned.

But another responder claimed: "Beatrix and Beatrice are cute. Paisley is cute but overused. The others are awful." A fan agreed: "Beatrice and Paisley are kinda cute."

Elsewhere, someone else defended the parent writing: "I rate this name list 2/8 on the goodness scale. Meaning 2 are okay."
