Prince George's godfather, the Duke of Westminster, is now engaged to Miss Olivia Henson, it has been announced today.

The couple, who have been together for two years, became engaged at Hugh Grosvenor's family home at Eaton Hall, Cheshire.

The couple said in a statement: "The Duke of Westminster and Miss Olivia Henson are delighted to announce they are engaged to be married.

"The couple, who have been together for two years, recently became engaged at the Duke's family home at Eaton Hall in Cheshire.

"Members of both their families are absolutely delighted with the news.

"Hugh Grosvenor, The Duke of Westminster, is Grosvenor's Chair as well as Chair of the Westminster Foundation.

"Miss Henson works for Belazu, a B-Corp certified food company based in London."

The Duke of Westminster succeeded the Dukedom on the death of his father in 2016.

He is interested in business activities including the development of land and the protection of biodiversity.

Over the years, he has led a campaign for the Defence and National Rehabilitation Centre, which was initiated by his father and continues to support the rehabilitation of seriously wounded or injured members of the Armed Forces.

He also represents Team GB at Olympic Skeet Shooting competitions overseas and in the UK.

Close friends with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the youngest of George's godparents, Hugh is a former student of countryside management at Newcastle University, but mostly keeps out of the limelight.

In 2020, the Duke donated £12.5million to the UK's coronavirus relief effort.

Mr Grosvenor, who is one of Prince George's godparents, said: "On behalf of my family and everyone at the Grosvenor Estate, I want to say a huge thank you to all our amazing NHS staff and everyone providing critical frontline services."

He added: "We are all humbled and incredibly grateful that you are working tirelessly to keep us safe and keep the country functioning.

"NHS staff and key workers don't work in isolation. They have children and families whose health and well-being will also be highly impacted by this crisis.

"As they keep us safe, I want to help provide as much support to them and their families as we can."
