Eddie Hearn expects Anthony Joshua to fight Dillian Whyte in late July or early August before a potential showdown with Deontay Wilder in December.

Joshua, 33, picked up his first win in over two years earlier this month by winning an uninspiring decision against Jermaine Franklin in London. The former two-time heavyweight champion has been linked to a rematch against Whyte after 'The Bodysnatcher' vented his anger after feeling he was snubbed in favour of Franklin.

The British rivals have fought twice before as Whyte beat Joshua in their amateur days only for 'AJ' to avenge the defeat in 2015 when both men were unbeaten as professionals. Joshua's promoter Hearn expects the fight to take place on either July 29 or August 5 and will likely take place at a stadium in London.

"It's very likely that we will make Dillian an offer to fight AJ in July," Hearn told iFL TV. "That's the fight that would make sense. We would go in a stadium, definitely. UFC have just pulled up on July 22, so we can go July 29 or August 5, something like that. Until we have these meetings next week, I can't give an answer. We could go with the roof off here in Cardiff [Principality Stadium] but I think we are going to go with London."

Hearn said he is flying out to Saudi Arabia next week to hold talks about a fight between Joshua and Wilder. The promoter admitted that 'AJ' is also happy to fight domestic rival Fury, who recently teased a "monstrous" fight for ring return after negotiations for an undisputed fight against Oleksandr Usyk collapsed.

"Obviously Anthony Joshua has got an exclusive contract with DAZN, but from AJ's side he's more than happy to fight Deontay Wilder and he's more than happy to fight Tyson Fury. Obviously, the word is and there has been conversations but no negotiations per say, for that big night in December. AJ vs Wilder and Fury against Usyk on the undercard," Hearn added.

"From our side and I think Wilder's side as well, I don't see a problem with that. I'm going out there next week and that's when we'll really know. This isn't one of those ideas that someone you haven't work with before has, if I'm flying out there and this is what they want to do, there is a very good chance this is going to happen."
