Ahead of its release next week, EA has confirmed when Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be available to preload on consoles and PC.

As well as potentially being one of the prettiest current-gen titles we’ve seen yet, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor recently stoked a lot of hype with the latest round of previews a few weeks back. We now stand at just one week until the game officially releases on April 28, 2023. However, if you’ve already pre-ordered the game digitally and want to know when you can preload it ahead of time, EA has done us the courtesy of revealing exactly what time this will be.

In a tweet over on the official @EAStarWars account, all the pre-load information for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC was announced. Preloading starts three days before Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s launch on Tuesday, April 25, but the exact time when it becomes available is slightly different depending on the specific platform you’re playing on.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor preload times confirmed

Here’s the full breakdown of when you can preload Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on consoles on PC.

  • Star Wars Jedi: Survivor preload time on PlayStation: 5pm BST / 12pm EDT / 9am PDT
  • Star Wars Jedi: Survivor preload time on Xbox: 5pm BST / 12pm EDT / 9am PDT
  • Star Wars Jedi: Survivor preload time on PC: 4pm BST / 11am EDT / 8am PDT

As you can see, people playing on PC have a slight advantage in terms of when the opportunity to preload goes live, but an hour difference isn’t a big deal in the grand scheme of things. Preloading Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on Tuesday might be worth it, too, seeing as the game boasts a whopping 155 GB file size on PC, while on console (as reported in a Twitter post by the reliable @PlayStationSize) it comes in at slightly less at 147 GB. Even by current-gen game standards that’s a lot.

If you’re unsure what preloading a game means, it’s essentially a handy way to install a game before its official release date – Friday, April 28, in the case of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. This will ensure you don’t have to wait hours at launch to play the game, installing it ahead of time means can spend less time waiting to play the game and more time enjoying it after it unlocks at a certain time.
