American Pickers' Mike Wolfe mocked after sharing an 'insanely amazing' find
American Pickers star Mike Wolfe is well known for having a keen eye for an antique.
However, fans weren't overly impressed with his latest find, despite the 58-year-old expert calling it "insanely amazing".
The History Channel star took to Instagram to show off his prized new find - a vintage jacket which dated back to 1915.
He shared seven images of the item with his 474,000 followers on the social media platform, describing it as a workwear piece that he had never laid eyes on its kind before.
The item in question was a blue and navy striped piece. It had a torn cuff and was a tailored fit from the back.
While it looked dirty and creased in the uploads, Mike was clearly ecstatic with his discovery.

Most of the items in the trunk were dated 1915 I’ve never seen one of these. It’s a workwear piece that I would love to know more about... The gentleman that owned it was a country veterinarian in West Virginia"
However, it didn't appear as though all his followers shared his love of the garment. One user joked it looked like something "Straight outta Deadwood" in reference to the popular crime series based in the 19th century.
Another added: "Prison coat?" with a laughing face emoji, while a third said: "Looks like it’s made from an old jail bed."
Despite the criticism, Mike is sure not to have been put off and will be hoping it will bring as much success as many of his other unique finds.

He recently celebrated his Kid Pickers book's 10th anniversary alongside co-author Lily Sprengelmeyer.
Taking to her own Instagram, Lily thanked her writing partner, saying: "Thank you for always believing in me and for being a true friend.
"You’re an inspiration to me and of course many others, for keeping the spirit of history alive and well."
