Stanley Tucci has confirmed that he'd be up for playing his character, Nigel, from the 2006 movie, The Devil Wears Prada again for a sequel.

The 62-year-old gushed about the movie which follows Anne Hathaway's character Andrea Sachs as she takes an internship at a huge New York fashion magazine working for her ruthless boss Miranda Priestley, played by Meryl Streep.

The movie is based on the book of the same name, written by Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour's former assistant, Lauren Weisberger, who drew inspiration for the story from her time at the fashion bible.

"I would happily play Nigel in The Devil Wears Prada again. It was a really great experience," Stanley explained before citing another one of his iconic roles that he'd play again.

"I would play Paul Child again, when we did Julie and Julia," he said. "Those are really wonderful roles to play."

However, Stanley also looked back on some roles he'd never reprise, noting The Lovely Bones, where he play serial killer and rapist George Harvey.

He told Entertainment Tonight : "I would not play George Harvey again in The Lovely Bones, which was horrible. It's a wonderful movie, but it was a tough experience simply because of the role."

He went on to say that although he was desperate for a job at the time, he tried to "get out" of playing the role.

"I asked Peter Jackson why he cast me in that role, I tried to get out of playing the role, which is crazy because I needed a job," Stanley recalled. "But I was like, 'Why do you want me?' And he said, 'Because you're funny.' And I thought, 'OK.' But I understand what he was saying.

"I think what he meant was that I wouldn't be too - not that I wouldn’t be serious about it, but that I wouldn't be overly dramatic about it. That I would throw it away a bit. Which is what you have to do when you're playing somebody who's that awful, right?"

"You can't play into it. Then, you know, it's over," he added. "Like, the movie's over. You just have to play against it."
