Jeopardy fans concerned as winning contestant pulls out due to scary 'illness'
Ben Chan had been stunning Jeopardy! fans with his impressive winning streak.
However, the latest big winner had to pull out of the long-running quiz show after suffering a mystery illness.
It means he was not able to go for his fourth consecutive victory on Monday's episode and instead will return to our screens on May 15.
The teacher from Green Bay, Wisconsin, impressed onlookers with his trio of wins, bagging a cool $69,001 along the way.
However, after falling ill while taping the popular series, he had to take a step back from competing, bringing to an end his unbeaten run.

And Ben confirmed the news on his Twitter account. Updating his bio, he wrote: "A philosophy professor from Green Bay, Wisconsin... Jeopardy April 12 2023 - ??? Three wins and counting! Will be re-appearing MONDAY, MAY 15th!"
Taking to social media to send their well-wishes, one Facebook user wrote:" Hope he’s feeling better. Prayers and best wishes to Ben!!"
Another on Reddit started to question whether he had in fact been ill part way through the filming for his impressive run. They asked: "Am I the only person who felt Ben might have been under the weather during his games? He was rubbing his eye a lot, and looked like he was struggling a little."
Another seemingly agreed, replying: "I noticed that, too. But it made him more impressive. It was like watching Michael Jordan play in his flu game."
Prior to teaching, Ben received a bachelor's degree from Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania. He went on to obtain a doctorate from the University of California-Los Angeles.
He's the latest fans' favourite on the show and is sure to be warmly welcomed back when he tried to improve his streak next month.
It appears to be the latest abrupt exit on the show, albeit temporary.
Last week, contestant coordinator Corina Nusu is said to have left the role she had held since 2005. The shocking news was brushed over by the show, but one eagle-eyed Reddit user spotted she had been unlisted from the position on the show's online credits.
The alleged role change has yet to be confirmed by the show itself.
