Arsenal have the chance to reassert their dominance in the Premier League title race when Brentford visit the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners will go eight points clear of Manchester City with a win, before playing their title rivals on Wednesday. And Arsenal star Oleksandr Zinchenko has warned Pep Guardiola's troops he is out for "revenge" after an FA Cup defeat a fortnight ago.

That message to City comes as Paul Merson encouraged Arsenal to not get downhearted by their loss at Everton last week and Zinchenko opened up on Jorginho's first few weeks at the Gunners. Here, Mirror Football rounds up the latest Arsenal news.

Zinchenko sends warning to City

Arsenal star Oleksandr Zinchenko has warned Manchester City the Gunners will be out for revenge in Wednesday's mouthwatering clash. City won an FA Cup clash between the two sides a fortnight ago, but the left-back believes Arsenal will put up a sterner challenge.

"I still keep in touch with most of them; we are friends and always will be. Yeah, they won that match, and they were joking with me. But I hope we will get revenge next Wednesday," he told VBET News.

Jorginho has been hailed as an "amazing player" after his deadline day move to Arsenal from Chelsea. The Italian has already won two Premier League titles during his time at Stamford Bridge.

Now, he has been brought in to boost the Gunners amid their own title challenge this campaign. And Zinchenko has now hailed the midfielder, tipping him to play a key role in the closing months of the season.

"He is an amazing player, big personality," Zinchenko told VBET. "Huge experience as well. He is a winner, he knows how to win. And for sure he’s going to help us a lot."

Merson urges calm

Paul Merson has urged Arsenal to stay calm despite their defeat to Everton last week. Though he insisted the Gunners could have wrapped up the Premier League title with a win at Goodison Park, the Arsenal legend believes his former side are right on track.

"This is no time to panic for Arsenal and Mikel Arteta," Merson told Sky Sports. "It was the perfect game for Everton and the worst possible game for Arsenal. Goodison Park was back to what it was like when I used to go there in my career.

"Arsenal would have won the league on Saturday with a win at Goodison Park. With what happened with Man City at Tottenham on Sunday, it would have all been wrapped up in my opinion. They are the fine margins you are dealing with at this stage of the season."
