Ben, who uploads to TikTok as @places_forgotten, said: "The remains of the basement mortuary were very creepy and sinister.

"The most amazing thing was the room with all the autopsies, as it had all the autopsies from the 1900s onwards.

"[There were] autopsies and death certificates belonging to both adults and children with graphic details, diagrams and photos.

"It was fascinating to see and I could have spent all day there reading it all.

"The mortuary fridge was the biggest I'd ever seen and I think it could cater to up to 25 bodies.

"Dried blood and bone matter were the first things I found.

"Blood and tissue samples, along with biohazards were simply just forgotten.

"There were John Doe death certificates as well as a dead person's shoes."

In a clip uploaded on TikTok, which has racked up 440,000 views and 36,000 likes, the 32-year-old explorer takes his viewers on a tour of the spooky, rotting hospital in British Columbia, Canada.

Another person added: "All the details make this look like everyone just literally stopped in the middle of what they were doing. It still boggles my mind."

"How is it legal for them to leave personal information of peoples' dead relatives?" one viewer commented.

"No one is talking about the fact that this place was abandoned the year and the month of 9/11," someone else said.

One person added: "Am I the only one who would've taken home the slides? Those are so interesting!"

Someone else said: "I would be so nervous in there but intrigued! Wow, what a thriller!"

"Something should be done. Like collecting all the death certificates and cleaning up the biohazards. It hurts seeing the autopsy reports of the children," one person added.
