S Club 7's Paul Cattermole talked about 'new beginnings' and 'good luck' in the final interview he gave before his tragic death.

The singer, 46, was found dead at his home in Dorset on Thursday and his bandmates shared a statement on how "devastated" they are over their loss.

He had been excited to go on the 25th-anniversary reunion tour with S Club 7 later this year.

Two months ago, Paul took part in a press conference with his bandmates to announce the reunion.

The star, who was also a tarot card reader, said he consulted with the cards to see what his and his bandmates' future held.

"I saw wheel of fortune - that's good, that's good luck. I genuinely did look at the cards," he said.

He told MailOnline: "There were other cards as well, ace of clubs - passion, new beginnings, your cup over-runneth with genuinely passionate emotion.

"It's positivity - something to be passionate about."

In 2021, Paul launched his new career as a tarot card reader and set up a YouTube channel where he offered tarot readings providing guidance for the future to fans according to their star signs.

Describing what fans could expect from his readings, he said at the time: "General, Collective, individual, timeless and also random Tarot readings most often short and to the point but sometimes long."

Several months later, he started offering members of the public the chance to use his newfound skills by calling a premium phone line costing £39.95 for a 20-minute session.

The singer-turned-card-reader details his skills on the website Ask The Answer, where he wrote: "I have an abundance of experience and knowledge to share with you from my days in pop band S Club 7 to my present role as a spiritual psychic where my reputation over the years has earned me the title of Psychic Detective.

"I have a keen interest in getting to the root and cause of any problem as an Intuitive Paranormal Investigator."

Following his death, his band released a statement reading: "We are truly devastated by the passing of our brother Paul. There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel. We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have.

"He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us. We ask that you respect the privacy of his family and of the band at this time."
