A woman who starred in a 'nightmare neighbour' TV show has been arrested as pictures show police raiding her country home.

Frances Payne, 57, became notorious after she used razor wire and chains to stop ramblers using a footpath leading past her home near Evesham, Worcs.

She appeared in Channel 5's 'The Nightmare Neighbour Next Door' where she accused walkers of trespassing and damaging her land.

Last February she was handed a five-year Criminal Behaviour Order after she was found guilty of three offences.

The charges included causing unnecessary suffering to an animal after her dog attacked a cat.

Pictures have now emerged showing police raiding her home on March 28 while she was feeding her sheep.

Her arrest was made during a West Mercia Police crackdown on "persistent criminals" named Operation Justice.

Five officers in a riot van stormed the property at Corn Mill Road and were pictured clambering over a metal gate to gain entry.

Payne was arrested for a public order offence and police say she failed to attend two interviews.

Speaking to local media, who police had invited to attend the raid, she said: "I did attend two interviews and I have proof."

She was bundled into the back of the police van and taken to the custody suite at Worcester Police Station in Castle Street.

A police spokesperson said: "On Tuesday 28 March officers carried out and arrest warrant in Cornmill Road, Evesham.

"A 57-year-old woman was arrested in relation to a public order offence. She has since been released on bail."

Payne said she was arrested in connection to an altercation she had with a person she claims was trespassing on her land in January.

She branded the female complainant a "serial stalker" and claims her car window was smashed the night before police raided her home.
