Netflix viewers 'too scared to sleep' after watching terrifying true crime show

Fans of Netflix have said they are "too scared to sleep" after taking in the streaming platform's latest true crime documentary.
Users quickly flocked to social media to share their views after watching new horror titled I Am A Stalker.
The documentary was first released last year and looks at convicted killers who discuss their crimes on camera.
The eerie details which are showcased explain how some of the inmates saw their love turn into a deep obsession and such is the potential impact of the scenes, Netflix puts out a warning prior to viewing.
The streaming giant says viewers can expect "harrowing accounts of harassment, abuse and other crimes" from both stalkers and their survivors.

And it includes the shocking fact that in the US alone, there are approximately 1.4million people who have to deal with a stalker.

The blurb for I Am A Stalker continues: "The results of stalking range from the annoying (persistently receiving loads of email or letters) to the intrusive (being secretly watched or followed) to the most severe (kidnapping and/or murder)."
But despite the warnings, it seems that some viewers simply weren't ready for what they were watching.
One user said: "I certainly can’t be the only one who watches #IAmAStalker on #Netflix before bed, and therefore will be too scared to sleep?"
Another discussed a specific case from the documentary, saying: "I feel for John, but he put Rachel and her family through absolute hell. I'd be terrified to be anywhere near him after that. I can only imagine what would happen if Rachel met someone and moved on."

A third explained the documentary had them "scared," while a fourth added: "I Am A Stalker on Netflix >> Every ending was terrifying!!!!"
Netflix has released a number of frightful flicks already this year, with fans also sharing their scared feelings after watching His House.
The 2020 horror film, has found a new lease of life after it was snapped up by platform and the terrifying events in a rural village have continuously left viewers on the edge of their seats.
The film focuses on a young couple from war-torn South Sudan who are seeking asylum in England.
Their worst fears are soon realised when a sinister force begins tormenting them while they reside in their new home.

Taking to Twitter while watching, one viewer said: "I am in here literally screaming in broad daylight watching."
Another commented: "This movie got me shaking. I’m legit scared."
