FREEDOM FLYER is set to be let loose at Thirsk in the Next Meeting At thirskraces Saturday 22nd April Handicap (5.45).

The six-year-old has shown plenty of potential for a win since scoring at Wolverhampton in July 2020. On his return from a break, 19 days ago at Southwell, he ran a stormer in a five-furlong handicap. Despite being hampered two furlongs out and having to wait for a gap to open up, the selection sprouted wings to run on gamely for second.

Off the same mark, he is expected to go close here. SCENIC is the pick in Southwell's talkSPORT Download The App Fillies' Handicap (7.00). She has improved after each of her three runs – and her latest effort was a second place in a novice event at Kempton over a mile in December.

Ed Walker sends the three-year-old daughter of Lope De Vega for her handicap debut over the same trip. Favourably weighted, she has the added advantage of Oisin Murphy in the saddle.
