EastEnders' Jessie Wallace 'very much' still engaged as she's seen without ring

EastEnders actress Jessie Wallace was spotted out and about without her engagement ring, just days after posing alongside her fiancé in a loved-up snap.

The star, who is known for her portrayal of Kat Slater on the BBC One soap, took to social media in February to confirm that carpenter Justin Gallwey had popped the question.

Jessie, 51, was spotted out and about that month wearing a dazzling ring on her finger sparking speculation which led her to reveal the happy news with her fans and friends.

But now, she has been seen without the bling on her hand while running some errands.

A close friend of Jessie's told the Mirror: "Jessie simply popped out without her ring on, as she often does if she's working as she obviously can't wear it whilst filming, it's nothing more than that, they're very much together."

The star was spotted close to her home in north London as she was doing some shopping and popping into the butchers.

Jessie whose character is known for her love of leopard print and pink looked extremely different as she rocked her glossy raven locks in a bob, with a multi-coloured headband keeping her tresses off of her face.

She opted to wear an orange tracksuit top while also wearing a pair of leggings and trainers as she went for a casual look.

In a bid to keep the Spring sun out of her eyes, Jessie rocked a pair of oversized sunglasses as she carried her bags to the boot of her car.

Jessie's ring-less outing comes just days after the star took to Instagram to gush over her soon-to-be husband with a loved-up snap.

Both Jessie and Justin gazed towards the camera as flashed their pearly whites while she placed her chin on his shoulder.

Captioning her upload, Jessie wrote: "My handsome fiancé," and it has since attracted over 6,000 likes.

Her co-stars and fans were quick to the comment section, with Max Bowden who plays Ben Mitchell gushing: "Beauties."

Meanwhile, Kate Robbins added: "Both of ya... Gorgeous!!"

"Aw look at you! So happy you're happy," said a fan. Before a second typed: "You both look so happy together."

The pair became engaged after dating for over a year, with Jason previously vowing to "protect" the actress who has had several public struggles in recent years.

But coming out stronger than ever, Jessie has recently been all smiles and has shared a string of snaps on her social media sharing insights into her life.

Last month, the star jetted abroad and made the most of her downtime from the BBC soap and put her skiing skills to the test as she happily posed with her equipment while joking that she was "flying into the week".
