Gladiators returns after 23 years with a new logo and free audience tickets
Contenders, ready! Gladiators, ready! The iconic gameshow is set to return to screens where a new generation of Gladiators will take on the ultimate test of speed and strength.
The popular TV show ran for eight years on ITV until the year 2000. Now, it will make a comeback on BBC with classic and updated challenges.
Fan favourite The Eliminator will also make a return. Gladiators has been brought back for 11 episodes and the show is looking for audience members to catch the action before the show airs.
Filming will take place in and around the spring school holidays at the Utilita Arena, Sheffield and audiences can be the first to experience the power by registering for free tickets.

The new presenters of the show will be announced in due course, having previously been hosted by Ulrika Jonsson, John Fashanu and Jeremy Guscott.
The show has a new lookKate Phillips, BBC Director of Unscripted, added: "Gladiators is back, and a whole new generation of viewers can now look forward to watching a Saturday night spectacle like no other.
"Will the contenders have the will and the skill to succeed against our mighty new Gladiators? You’ll have to tune in to find out!"
The original show aired from 1992 to 2000 where four Contenders competed against the show’s Gladiators in various events.
The show sees four contestants compete in a series of physical events against the Gladiators (ITV/REX/Shutterstock)They took on the likes of a duel, hang tough and pyramid challenge in an effort to reach the grand finale.
The show enjoyed a brief, two-season revival between 2008 and 2009, on Sky One and was presented by Ian Wright, alongside Kirsty Gallacher and Caroline Flack.

Gladiator star Falcon died aged 59

Falcon remained a core part of the show until 1999.
