Tommy Fury has been told he would earn "life-changing" money by rival Jake Paul for a second boxing meeting.

Fury picked up a huge win in his boxing career defeating bitter rival Paul in their Saudi Arabia showdown last month. It was almost two years of build-up for the grudge meeting, but the Briton edged it on split decision to settle the scores and celebrated wildly at the final bell.

But despite suggestions their feud was finally over, it appears the pair could meet in the ring again with discussions underway after Paul suggested he would activate his contracted rematch clause. Fury initially suggested in the aftermath of the win that he would be open to do battle again, and Paul believes it would be worth his while.

"The kid made a decent amount of money for the fight we have just had," Paul said to his brother Logan when discussing a potential rematch on his Impaulsive podcast. "For the rematch he would make life-changing generational wealth so he would be stupid not to do it. I think he has to like prove himself still from his standpoint.

"He came up to me afterwards in the medical office and he was like 'bro you are great I have been doing this since I was six', and I was like what have you been doing? I have been doing this for three years and put him down on the canvas, and so many professional fighters and analysts scored me to win the fight.

"So I think he should from his point of view want to come back and really silence me and not in a controversial win. I think it was a draw, but regardless I haven't watched the fight back. But all I am saying is Tommy should want to come back and beat me properly kind of like when I first beat Tyron Woodley."

Fury had vowed to settle the rivalry with a KO win but was left in a tight final round in which he was dropped and saw the scorecards brought closer together. The Briton could stay and continue fighting influencers including Paul for a second time, or could even take on the traditional boxing route again.

But despite it almost seeming certain that a sequel was in the works, Fury has cast doubt and suggested he could even pursue a bigger fight next. “I’m down for the rematch. I’ll fight him tomorrow, it’s not an issue," he said during an interview on Soccer AM. “But does he want it now? I’m not so sure.

"He was the one barking up the hill, but I’m sitting on the top of that hill now. So it’s my call. There’s a lot of meetings going on, but believe you me, the next fight I take, it will be bigger than Jake Paul.”
