I'm A Celebrity's South Africa line-up questioned by fans over missing stars

Saturday Night Takeaway viewers learned which former I'm A Celebrity stars were returning for the special All Stars series on Saturday night.

Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly confirmed the line-up for the special series thought to be airing next month, which was filmed in South Africa.

Amongst the line-up are former stars Shaun Ryder, Amir Khan, Jordan Banjo and Phil Tufnell.

Joining them are Janice Dickinson, Fatima Whitbread, Paul Burrell, Helen Flanagan and Carol Vorderman.

But some of the rumoured contestants reported last year were not included in this announcement - while there will be many more celebrities taking part in the series, who are yet to be officially named.

Fans were quick to notice that names including Joe Swash were not featured, despite it being reported that he and others filmed for the series.

Gillian McKeith, Made in Chelsea's Georgia 'Toff' Toffolo, Hear'Say's Myleene Klass and EastEnders ' Dean Gaffney were all tipped to be taking part, alongside Coronation Street star Andrew Whyment.

Caitlyn Jenner was also supposedly in talks to reappear on the show, but she too did not feature in the final line-up - with it since revealed to The Mirror that she turned the opportunity down.

Whether this means the missing stars are not actually taking part or will instead be late arrivals throughout the series remains to be confirmed by the hosts.

Taking to Twitter, one fan asked: "Where's @realjoeswash because he went out there."

Another tweeted: "You can’t have an all stars line up without Joe Swash!"

A third fan asked: "WHERE IS GILLIAN?" as another said: "Where’s Kirky and Joe swash?"

It's been confirmed that there are more names taking part other than the nine revealed, with the show just weeks away.

Meanwhile, chatting with Lorraine Kelly at the start of this year, Ant and Dec revealed a few more secrets about the upcoming special.

Dec explained: "It’s kind of an all-stars… Taking some of your favourite campmates from the last 20 years and taking them for a brand new challenge in South Africa.

"So it's a completely different landscape and they're doing it again. They're competing to become the first ever I'm A Celebrity ‘Legend of the Savanna’... It’s very special."

Revealing the differences to the live Australian series, Ant added: "And it's slightly different to the show we do in Australia because they go head to head in trials and whoever loses leaves. It’s quite brutal, so that’s how we decided the winner."

Dec then chimed in and declared: "We’ve done it, we’ve shot it and it’s really, really good."

Saturday Night Takeaway airs live at 7pm on Saturday on ITV1 and ITVX.
