Strictly's Giovanni and Anton Du Beke laugh off savage dig on Saturday Kitchen

Strictly Come Dancing stars Giovanni Pernice and Anton Du Beke laughed off a sly dig which was sent their way as they appeared together on Saturday Kitchen.

Saturday Kitchen host Matt Tebutt didn't hold back as he roasted his guests Giovanni and Anton who appeared on the BBC programme to chat all things about their brand-new travel programme, Anton and Giovanni's Adventures in Sicily.

While introducing the Strictly duo alongside wine expert Ollie Smith, the Saturday Kitchen presenter jokingly said that Anton and Giovanni have 'the second best bromance on TV'.

"We've got a rollercoaster ride of a show with this lot in the studio. Literally, anything could happen, because this is Saturday Kitchen Live," the host said.

After Matt's subtle dig, viewers at home heard a stunned Giovanni quip: "Second best?!"

To which Matt replied: "Second best my friends", before he went on to joke that he and Ollie have the strongest bromance in showbiz.

After laughing off the dig that was directed towards them, Giovanni and Anton soon got to talking about their brand-new show.

Anton and Giovanni's Adventures in Sicily first broadcast on March 21 as part of the cooking show, with Anton promising plenty of fun in store for viewers as he gushed about co-star Giovanni.

Explaining the premise of the new reality TV show, Anton told viewers: "The show is about our relationship, which is the thing that came across for me. I watched the first show the other evening with Hannah, and I got a warm feeling about it. It was a lovely sort of show of us together.

"The shows grow over the next couple of weeks, but without giving any spoilers away, we have a lot of fun with it all," he added.
