Emmerdale fans believe Moira Dingle secretly knows about her brother Mackenzie Boyd's baby lie, ahead of the truth coming to light.

Viewers know that Mack and Chloe Harris slept together last summer and Chloe fell pregnant with his baby, and she decided to go ahead with the pregnancy.

Since then the pair have been covering up what happened and the fact Mackenzie is the father, while the truth will soon come out.

Mackenzie initially wasn't onboard and refused to be a part of the child's life, something Chloe was okay about given he's currently engaged to Charity Dingle.

But recent months have seen them struggling to hide their one-night stand and their baby lie, with more and more people finding out the truth.

A handful of villagers know about the baby and Mack, while one only knows that Mack slept with someone else.

Now, fans are convinced Moira knows the truth about her brother's fling and the fact he's about to become a dad.

They believe a clue in the latest episode proved Moira has figured it all out and is keeping it a secret, after she rumbled Chloe and Mack being frosty with each other.

Moira was in the room when Mack seemed concerned for Chloe and her baby, and Chloe was clearly annoyed at him - leading to Moira pulling a face.

When she asked Mack if he was alright, she suddenly told him not to worry and to ignore her concern - but could she have worked out the truth?

Taking to Twitter, one fan said: "Moira senses that something is going on with Mack and Chloe doesn't she? If she does say something for all our sakes!"

Another tweeted: "Sooooo awkward!!!!! It's so obvious Moira will work out it's his baby !!!!! He's hardly hid the fact well at all tonight!!!!!"

A third fan added: "Moira knows!!!!" as a fourth agreed: "Moira knows," and a fifth fan tweeted: "Moira knows something has went on."

It comes after Emmerdale producers Jane Hudson and Laura Shaw revealed the truth would come out at some point this year, leading to long-running consequences for all of the characters involved.

Jane revealed in a preview: "I think one of our big stories is Charity, Mackenzie and Chloe and that triangle. I mean we always thought it's not a question of if Charity will find out that Mack is the father of Chloe' baby, but it's when is she going to find out.

"She is going to find out and it is going to be explosive. There is going to be massive repercussions for all these characters which will carry us right into 2024."

It followed Jane telling The Mirror what 2023 had in store for residents, as she teased when the baby lie would come out.

She said in December: "We have got the Charity and Mackenzie wedding on the cards which is happening next year.

"I think we know weddings don't always go very smoothly, and Chloe's baby is maybe due around the time of the wedding, so I'll leave it to yourselves to figure out what might happen around the wedding date and birth date, and it will be explosive for Charity and Mackenzie."

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
